One Minute Park lets you experience what it is like to spend time in a variety of parks and green public spaces around the world. Click the link and you get presented with a full-screen video, which lasts for exactly 60 seconds and which presents a delightfully, perfectly mundane scene filmed in a local park, with all videos submitted by volunteers. That's it—after 60 seconds, the scene shifts to another park somewhere else on the planet. No more, no less, just small, evanescent windows into slices of quiet humanity.

2024 Multiplayer Awards:
One Million Checkboxes

A temporary project, One Million Checkboxes was a collaborative artwork—and experiment in collective online psychology and community—which allowed internet users across the world to check and uncheck the aforementioned One Million Checkboxes. This saw people from all over the web spend weeks collaborating to write messages, make art, and engage in checkbox-based territorial warfare, in the spirit of projects such as Reddit's The Place, while becoming a viral sensation that saw even the Washington Post take an interest.
